The minute you sit down in their cosy cafe, Babs the waitress will instantly charm you with her smile and Scottish lilt, she's human sunshine. Had their biggest fry-up, and my lord, it was massive, large delicious (clearly premium) sausages, 2 fried eggs (not oily), hash browns which didn't ooze oil, tasty fresh mushrooms and tomatoes, beans, toast and black pudding, it was so big the puddings came in a separate bowl! I've had a lot of fry-ups in my time, this is my favorite of all time. If I could, I'd eat there every day. Thank you.

This is the best all day breakfast in Hove and Babs is the greatest waitress in the world! I usually head to Richards with a mate of mine and Babs gives us top service - always with a laugh and smile but usually with a song and dance! In fact, we usually only head to Richards when we know she’ll be serving (Saturday’s), as she is such a fundamental part of the experience. The rest of the staff are fantastic too and usually Richard will make time to come over for a chat. This is a busy cafe with a great atmosphere, so if you head here, relax, enjoy and appreciate a unique and fun experience.

What an amazing little gem! The food was quick, the prices were good, and the food was delightful! The service did it for me. Lovely, funny, and interesting people that won’t mind taking interest in you and your life. Will 100% make you feel welcomed and like a local.

Smashed down a couple of cooked breakfasts (one veggie!) and the waitress kindly offered to swap the tomato for an extra hash brown! Food all good quality and reasonably priced. Would love to go back to try one of their many, tasty looking sandwiches...

I wish I could give more stars. There are places that deliver and then there are places like Richard's that exceed your expectations!!! The food is yummy, the staff friendly, professional and efficient. Even when busy, it all flows. I'm new to the hood, still choosing my "watering holes", well, Richard's just made the top of my list!! Thank you Babs and Liv for an amazing experience!!!

Absolutely fantastic food,a warn & welcoming atmosphere the food is par excellence,the staff are always welcoming & curtious. Today I tried eating,Avacado chicken & bacon salad unfortunately I had to leave as I walked back into Cafe & was about to leave my dinner one of the staff with a smile asked me," would I like a box to take my meal away"& gave me a box & bag. If you like healthy food with an easy to read menu,Richards is for you.

We went to Richards for breakfast as it's known locally as a great spot, and as usual it didn't disappoint. I branched out to try the vegetarian breakfast this time and it was great - particularly the sausages. And how can I not mention the amazing friendly service from the owners who looked after us very well.
